A freestanding dishwasher is a kitchen appliance that can be placed anywhere with access to water and power. It has finished sides and a top, so it doesn’t need to be built into cabinetry. Most freestanding dishwashers have adjustable racks, multiple wash programs, built-in controls, and advanced cleaning technologies designed to deliver efficient dishwashing for everyday use.
A freestanding dishwasher works by spraying hot water mixed with detergent through rotating arms to remove food from dishes. Sensors and programmed cycles control water temperature, pressure and timing to neatly help remove all food scraps and residue from dishes and cutlery. After washing, the machine rinses and drains water, then dries dishes using heat or airflow.
To install a freestanding dishwasher, position it near water, power and drainage points. Connect the inlet hose to the water supply, attach the drain hose to a sink trap, and plug the dishwasher into a power outlet.
