Which Laundry Appliance is right for you?
Washing Capacity
- Washing Machines are generally the same size on the outside, so it’s the drum capacity that makes the difference.
- Capacity can be expressed in kilograms, reflecting the maximum dry laundry weight per load, or in cubic feet, which describe the physical volume of the drum.
AI DD™
- LG’s AI DD™ detects fabric type and weight to optimize wash motions for tailored care.
- Combined with DirectDrive™ and 6 Motion technology, it delivers a quiet, powerful, and gentle clean that helps protect your clothes with every wash.
Smart Pairing
- Simple, smart connectivity.
- Save time and effort with an LG Smart Pairing dryer that syncs and automatically selects the right drying programs.
- *To use this function, the washer and dryer must be connected to your home Wi-Fi network and registered in the LG ThinQ™ smart app.
Inverter Direct Drive™
- LG washing machines are powered by advanced Inverter Direct Drive™ technology.
- DirectDrive™ motors operate the drum directly without a belt or pulley—fewer moving parts mean greater reliability and less potential for wear.
- This design offers improved durability, reduced vibration, and quieter performance.
- When combined with artificial intelligence, LG’s DirectDrive™ technology uses the power of big data to provide smarter, more efficient washing that adapts to your laundry needs.
- Most LG washing machines are powered by advanced Inverter Direct Drive™ technology.
Product Dimensions
- All LG washing machines come in a standard height and width. Only the depth varies depending on the drum size.
- Dimensions: W 23.62 in × H 33.46 in × D 22.24–26.57 in
- Use this five-point checklist to make sure your LG washing machine is the perfect fit for your home:
1. Leave enough space behind and around your washing machine for piping and installation. Check the clearance space requirements for your model before ordering.
2. Make sure there’s enough room in front of your washing machine to open the door.
3. Consider how you’ll move your washing machine to its final location. Will it fit through doorways, up the stairs, or in an elevator? Measure and plan your access route ahead of time to avoid installation issues.
4. Ensure a power outlet is nearby. LG recommends plugging your washing machine directly into the wall outlet, not an extension cord.
5. Stacking can help save floor space, but make sure there’s a compatible stacking kit for your washer and dryer.

- TurboWash™ 360° cleans your laundry in just 39 minutes.

- *Actual results may vary depending on the clothes and environment.
Remote control
- Control your laundry anytime, anywhere.
- The LG ThinQ™ app lets you connect with your washer like never before.
- Start a load with just one tap.
- *Support for smart home devices compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant may vary by country and your individual smart home setup.
Energy Monitoring
- From everyday maintenance to bigger loads, the LG ThinQ™ app makes it easy to track your washing machine’s energy usage.
- *Support for smart home devices compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant may vary by country and your individual settings.
Drying Capacity
- The drying capacity of a washer dryer is generally smaller than its wash load capacity.
- This is because the drying process requires more space in the drum, allowing hot air to circulate efficiently to dry your items.
- When choosing a washer dryer, make sure the drying capacity suits your needs.
- When using a washer dryer, reduce the washing load or remove some items before switching from wash to drying mode.
ezDispense™
- Pre-load the detergent dispenser and let your washing machine handle the rest.
- LG’s auto-dosing ezDispense™ technology detects the weight of your laundry and automatically dispenses the right amount of detergent every time.
- Eliminates the risk of over-dosing, saves you time, and helps extend the life of your clothes.
- Convenient and eco-friendly.
Smart Diagnosis™
- Troubleshoot issues anytime with Smart Diagnosis™.
- If a problem occurs, your phone can identify error codes to help LG customer service assist you faster.
- The LG Smart Diagnosis™ system lets you report issues directly to the service centre for a quick resolution—offering peace of mind and reliability.
AI Sensor Dry
- Built-in Intelligence Takes Out The Guesswork.
- Skip the sorting and cycle guessing—built-in sensors powered by AI technology detect fabric texture and load size, then automatically choose the right drying motions, temperature, and settings for optimal fabric care.
- AI Sensor Dry™ monitors moisture levels and adjusts drying time for any load size—no more damp laundry or overdrying.
- With Smart Pairing™, your washer can communicate with the dryer to select a compatible drying cycle*, making laundry easier than ever.
- *Both the washer and dryer must be registered in the LG ThinQ app and connected to Wi-Fi to enable the Smart Pairing feature.
Centum System™
- Equipped with LG’s exclusive Centum System™, an advanced suspension system that enhances durability and energy efficiency, the washer delivers gentle yet effective fabric care.
6 Motion Direct Drive
- LG washers use a combination of 6 motions, inspired by hand-washing, to clean your clothes.
- Just choose a cycle and the machine automatically selects the best motion combination to deliver an exceptional wash while being gentle on your clothes.
Auto Cleaning Condenser
- The dryer automatically cleans the condenser during the drying process to help maintain optimal performance.
Steam+™ Technology
- LG’s exclusive Steam+™ technology effectively removes allergens and helps reduce wrinkles.
- The Allergy Care function steams clothes at the start of the wash cycle to loosen fibres and remove allergens, including pollen and up to 99.9% of dust mites.
- The Wrinkle Care function re-applies steam after the spin cycle to reduce wrinkles by 30%, leaving fabrics fresh and smooth.
- *Tested by Intertek in December 2018 according to AATCC standards. Cotton Cycle with the “Wrinkle Care” option (3 mixed shirts) compared to the Cotton Cycle without that option. Results may vary depending on clothing and environment.
- *Wrinkle Care function is available in 6 cycles.
Heat Source Type
- A heat pump dryer uses a heat pump system to dry clothes efficiently.
- First introduced in the early 2000s, heat pump dryers are praised for their energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
- They tend to take longer to dry clothes than traditional vented dryers, which may be a drawback for some users.
- Electric and gas vented dryers use heating elements or gas burners to warm air inside the drum and push it through clothes to remove moisture.
- The hot air is then vented outdoors, resulting in energy loss.
- Heat pump dryers, on the other hand, operate on a closed-loop system that recirculates air within the drum.
- After removing moisture from the air, the warm air is reheated and reused for continued drying.
- This process consumes less energy and retains more heat, making heat pump dryers a more eco-friendly option.
Max spin speed (RPM)
- Many people may not realise that checking the spin cycle of a washing machine is just as important when deciding which one to buy.
- The spin cycle helps dry your clothes after washing and is measured in revolutions per minute (RPM).
- Most washing machines have a spin speed of 400 to 500 RPM, while heavier loads require about 800 to 1000 RPM.
- LG’s washing machine range offers up to 1400 RPM for optimal spinning performance.
- *Features may vary by model. Please see each product page for detailed specifications.
Dual Inverter heat pump™
- Faster* drying, more time for yourself.
- With DUAL Inverter Heat Pump™ technology, drying can be completed in just 30 minutes.
- The dual cylinder system compresses 15% more refrigerant than conventional dryers, helping dry your clothes faster so you can enjoy more of your day.
- *Dual cylinder compressor (9.2 cc) compresses 15% more refrigerant at one time compared to single cylinder compressor (8.0 cc).
